The Cat Cave

The inside of this is basically like a donut, so there's no way my fat cat will fit inside comfortably. However, my smaller cat can go in there if she so chooses. I sprayed cat nip spray to get them interested in it, and the big one ended up sleeping on the top for a while. It's surprisingly well made and sturdy!

However, the biggest surprise is that my 1 yo and 5 yo have played with this thing all day. They love it!

We have a 13 year old, temperamental male cat that generally doesn't like the average cat toys. He would literally rather play with/in/on a paper sack before he would an actual cat toy, so I didn't have high hopes he would like this. I put it together and set in on the floor and before I could dispose of the box it came in, our cat had not only checked it out, but had gotten into it! Photo was taken maybe 10 minutes after I unpacked it. He loves it! We throw a ball in there and he'll chase it around! Too cute! I was really surprised he like it. Our cat does not seem to care for the upper part of it, at least not yet. We've put him in it a couple times to show him he can get in there, but he'll only stay a few seconds then jumps back out. The item came in two separate pieces and the top and bottom halves zip together. My only real complaint is that I did struggle a bit to get it put together, getting the zipper started was a bit difficult to do on my own and the zipper seemed cheap and like it may come off easily if repetitively used. We don't really plan to be opening it much, so this shouldn't be too much of an issue. If you plan to open it and close it often, the zipper does seem low quality so keep that in mind. Other than that, it isn't too big, it sits out of the way in our living room and our fur baby seems to enjoy it.

This arrives in two parts (the top and bottom) nestled together like a funny looking hat. The two halves zipper together to form the tunnel / bed. It is sturdy and holds it shape well. I have two cats and both cats have shown interest in the dark tunnel, but haven't discovered the top yet. I was a little concerned that my larger (very fat) cat would fit inside, but she has spent a bunch of time in there and claws her way around inside. The smaller cat also likes it and will go around and around the tunnel before laying down. I think I might sprinkle some cat nip inside for even more fun. I like the felt material. It is easy to rub off the long-haired cat's fur and it shows no signs of wear and tear dispite the clawing around inside. Cool cat hangout!

I originally purchased the small one because I thought it was a possible multi-seat cat item that wouldn't collapse on the cat inside when another one sat on top. Good news, it performs that perfectly! I then realized that they would outgrow the small one and purchased the large one (get the large one). They LOVE it. Heck, they liked it more than the box it came in! Shocking, I know. They very much enjoy sitting on it, and chasing the toys that come with it around the tube. One of the best cat purchases I've gotten. We've had it for awhile now, and they still love it.

As soon as I put it together, our kitten was playing in it and loving it. It’s definitely a big hit. My only complaint is the zipper pull is an attractive dangly for cats to try and destroy. Hopefully it’ll be heavy duty enough to not break with the cat constantly messing with it. Otherwise, no complaints.

 My cats love it,well the top part anyways. The one inside is a 20 pound cat,so he fits perfect. The zipper confused me at first but look at my pictures and you’ll see it is upside down I guess. It’s super sturdy. The cat on top is 16 pounds. They are confused on the inside and usually back out but they love the top for sure!

My two boys are just under a year old and have “crackhead energy” 24/7.

They completed ignored the big beautiful cardboard box this came in (they love boxes) and went straight for this toy.

Easily one of my best Amazon pet purchases. Will probably be getting another one in the near future.
