From a human perspective, this is a super snazzy modern cat bed / hut / hangout! The dark heather gray felt is very attractive, and I personally like the monotone coloring (zips and binding match perfectly). The quality is outstanding and the tunnel is slightly flexible, but has a very firm structure. If I were a cat, I'd want one of these tunnels!
I had some concern that this would be a cat hair magnet, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. My cat is mostly white and I expected that he'd have applied a fine patina of fur to the dark surface of the tunnel already. Nope, it appears my fears in that regard are unfounded!
Very pleased with this, and both Norm and I recommend it!
As you can see in the pic - plenty of room for frolics and furry capers. The robust bed zips apart for easy transport - I wouldn’t say it folds at all, but you can nest the two halves inside each other.
This is actually really light - which only adds to fun my kitties have whizzing each other around on our mvp/lvp flooring. It would have been nice to have to some skids pads on one side , to keep it where I want it to be placed - but that would have ruined the cats playful time.
It was a lot bigger than I expected too. I was worried my three cats would be afraid of it right away. So I set it on my bed. To my surprise all three cats were immediately interested. My littlest climbed right in and started making circles around it. I was a little nervous when my biggest cat tried to get in. She has a bit of a tummy and looked a bit too big to fit inside. However once my littlest got out, she was able to get in and check it out. My boy loves the top, even though he seems a bit big for it lol!
I could not say that every cat would like this, but all three of mine do and I’m really glad I got this.
This is made of heavy duty felt but it's not rough. If your cats are like mine, they'll tire of it after awhile and when they do, just unzip it and put it away for awhile. When you bring it out again it will be new to them again and they'll love it like the first time!
I think the size and shape of this thing will determine if your pet(s) will like it. Our two big, fat tom cats didn't know what to make of it and only ventured in when treats were put inside. It was a tight fit for them and they didn't like it. I gave it to my sister and her smaller cats liked it. At first, they would get on top and sit or sleep in the "donut hole" as you can see in the pics. Later, one would go inside and would play "hide and seek" with one on top!
So, I think because of the design - i.e. that it's a round tunnel rather than an open space inside - some cats will like it while others...especially bigger cats...will not.
